Hi, I am Pauline Sunman, the proprietor of Paws-A-While. Owning, caring for and training dogs has been my life and passion for over 30 years. Over the years I have been involved in many activities including showing, obedience training, agility and tracking. Mojo, our Australian Cattle Dog, gained his TD (tracking dog) title in 2008. Our German Shepherd Quinn continues to enjoy his lessons at Best Friends School of Dog Training and during 2010 he gained his TD. He went onto to gain his TDX, CD in 2011. As an active member of a local canine search and rescue team Ottawa Valley Search and Rescue Dog Association I re-certify Quinn each year with the OPP in Gravenhurst, ON.
For over 25 years my husband Tony and I have had the pleasure of raising and training a successful, competitive racing team of Alaskan Sled dogs. Our joint sled dog racing career has taken us from Europe to Canada and as far as Alaska and Maine. During this time we have gained experience in all aspects of dog care, including nutrition, fitness and first aid.
